7 juin 2015: école primaire de Palep-Ramche, district Rasuwa, parc national du Langtang (English version below with photos)

Armés de patience et grâce à la grande détermination de Norbu, nous avons enfin pu nous procurer les tôles manquantes pour construire l'école primaire provisoire pour les 103 enfants du village des porteurs de Palep-Ramche.

Après 5 heures de route et une petite pause repas dans une des plus chaudes localités (38 degrés), nous atteignons notre destination. Un étrange sentiment nous envahit en voyant à nouveau la position de ce village haut perché sur le flanc raide d'un des versants au-dessus de la rivière.

Le principal de l'école et un des instituteurs, entourés de quelques porteurs, écoutent attentivement les explications concernant la construction de l'école données par Norbu. En même temps, les jeunes écoliers se rapprochent en nous regardant avec grande curiosité.

En plus des tôles et des "white board" pour chacune des 5 classes, un cahier avec un crayon/stylos seront distribués à chaque enfant une fois la construction achevée. Nous avons également remis à chacune des 10 plus grandes familles, une des tentes envoyées spécialement depuis l'Autriche par notre ami Stephan Keck.

Norbu retournera environ dans une semaine pour voir l'avancement des travaux et apporter un stock de nourriture consistant en une petite collation et un repas quotidien durant un mois et demi pour chacun des 103 enfants, ainsi que du matériel de sport sous forme de jeux.

En ce qui me concerne, il s'agissait de ma dernière visite dans ces villages pour cette saison. Le coeur rempli de moments tragiques, d'intenses émotions et de beaux souvenirs, je retourne demain en Suisse, mon visa venant à échéance.

Le but lors de mon arrivée au Népal au mois de mars dernier était l'ascension du Toit du Monde en compagnie de Norbu, mais la nature en a décidé autrement. Ces derniers mois furent finalement un moment incroyable rempli de moments et d'émotions si intenses.

L'Everest est toujours là...

Je tiens à exprimer du fond du coeur un immense merci à ma fabuleuse famille, amis et à chacun d'entres vous pour votre précieux soutien et magnifique générosité! Grâce à vous, Norbu et moi avons pu mettre sur pied notre action d'aide aux populations des régions les plus touchées du Népal au travers de la petite association que nous avons récemment fondée avec Norbu "Butterfly Help Project" (www.butterflyhelpproject.org).

Le début de la saison de la mousson est désormais imminent, mais notre action d'aide n'est pas terminée.

Je tiens également à exprimer un MERCI tout spécial à Norbu sans qui tout ceci n'aurait simplement pas été possible.

7 June 2015: primary school of Palep-Ramche village, district of Rasuwa, Langtang national park

After lots of patience and thanks to the great determination of Norbu, we got finally the remaining  steel sheets that were missing to built the provisory primary school for the 103 kids of the Trekking porters' village Palep-Ramche.

After 5 hours of driving and a lunch stop in one of the hotest places (38 degrees), we reach the village. Again, to come to this village and to see where these people are living, we feel a strange feeling...the river is so far away down the flanks of each side of the valley and the sky is so high above our heads.

The headteacher together with one of the teachers, and some of the villagers, are carefully listening to the explanations given by Norbu with respect to how they should build the provisorary school. In the meantime, the young school kids are surrounding us looking curiously at us.

Besides the steel sheets, we provide for each of the 5 class rooms a white dashboard, a notebook and some pen/pencils for each kid. Furthermore, we could provide the tents generously sent by our friend Stephan Keck to 10 of the affected bigger families.

Norbu will go back in about one week to see the work done and bring some food, which constitutes in a daily morning snack and a lunch, during one and an half month for the 103 kids, and some sport games.

For me it was the last trip to the villages for this season. The heart and mind full of scary and beautiful emotions and remembers, my visa expiring, I will leave tomorrow back to Switzerland.

The aim when I arrived to Nepal last March was to climb the Roof of the World together with Norbu, but the nature has decided in another way. It was finally an amazing time here in Nepal during these last months so rich and full of strong feelings and emotions.

Mount Everest is still there...

A very sincere thanks to my great family, friends and to all of you for your support and generosity! Thanks to you, Norbu and me could manage to help the destroyed local population in some of the most remote areas of Nepal through our small association "Butterfly Help Project" recently founded by ourselves (www. butterflyhelpproject.org).

Monsoon is now at the entrance door of Nepal, but our action is not over and will go on.

I wanna express a very special thanks to Norbu, without whom all these actions would simply not have been possible!
